Udupi, 09 Nov 2017: Manasa Rehabilitation and Training Center, Pamboor, near here will be celebrating their second decennial celebrations fromNovember 10 to November 11. It was opened on November 14, 1997 and offers integral training to inmates. Sixty-eight inmates now live in the facility. Five-hundred-eighty-four students are trained in 19 years. Seven inmates represented India in International Special Olymkpics and bagged 4 gold, 2 silver and 1 bronze so far. It’s being run by Catholic Sabha Mangaluru Pradesh® and Catholic Sabha Udupi Pradesh®.
A state-level seminar on growth of differently-abled children will be held here on November 10.
Karnataka sports and Udupi district-in-charge minister Pramod Madwaraj will inaugurate the programme. The experts on the special children’s growth will present their papers.
Mangaluru bishop Dr Aloysius P D’Souza, Udupi DC Priyanka Mary Francis, Udupi bishop Dr Gerald I Lobo, Dr Nibedita Patnaik of Special School in Secunderabad will be the chief guests of the occasion.
