Moodubelle: Konkani social play “Shegunachi Soon” to be staged on Easter Sunday

Moodubelle, 20 April 2011: “Shegunachi Soon”, the socially relevant play will be staged in the premises of St. Lawrence Church, Moodubelle on Easter Sunday, April 24, 2011 at 6 pm.  The play written and directed by Walter Monteiro   has been well received and appreciated by the audience when it was staged at Mother of Sorrows Church compound, Udupi  in February 2011.

The play will be staged free for the parishioners of Moodubelle and the neighbouring parishes. However, Fr. Joswey Fernandes, parish priest of Moodubelle has appealed generous parishioners to sponsor the play in terms of lighting, sound, stage, seating arrangement, etc. Fr. Joswey Fernandes said that after reimbursing the expenses of the play, the surplus amount will be  utilized to provided certain amenities to the students of St. Lawrence Educational Institutions.
