Harihar: Monti Fest celebrated at Shrine of Our Lady of Health

Harihar, 09 Sep 2017: Monti Fest was celebrated with utmost religious fervor at the shrine of Our Lady of Health, here, on Friday, September 9.

 

After the eight-day novenas, on September 7 at 4.00pm, Fr Franklin D’Souza and Fr Roman Pinto led the Praise and Worship adoration.

 

Mysore bishop Dr K A William celebrated the Holy Eucharistic Celebration along with Shivamogga bishop Dr Francis Serrao.

 

After the Holy Mass, Bro T K George and Fr Franklin D’Souza led the Healing adoration for the faithful.

 

On September 8, Shrine rector Fr Anthony Peter celebrated the Holy Mass at 5.30am.  It was followed by Telugu Mass offered at 6.30am.

 

Beltangady bishop Dr Lawrence Mukuzhy celebrated Syro Malkabar Holy Qurbana in at 7.45am.

 

Fr Rayappa, Professor of St Peter’s Pontifical Seminary celebrated Tamil Mass at 9.00am.

 

Fr Simon Pinto, Professor of St Peter’s Pontifical Seminary celebrated Holy Mass in English at 10.15am.

 

 

Shivamogga bishop Dr Francis Serrao SJ concelebrated the festal Mass along with many clergies at 11:30am.  In his homily, bishop Dr Francis explained about the role of heavenly Mother in our lives also importance of Harihar feast.

 

Fr Franklin D’Souza celebrated Konkani Holy Mass At 1:30pm.

 

Bro T K George and Fr Roman Pinto led the healing adoration at 3.00pm.

 

Fr Minin Almeida celebrated Holy Mass in Kannada at 4.00pm. At 5:30pm.

 

The parish priest Fr Anthony Peter blessed the Chariot of Mother Mary decorated with flowers and a colorful procession was held through the streets of Harihar. The procession concluded with Thanksgiving Mass by the rector Fr Antony Peter.

 

Around 2 lac devotees regardless of faith, caste and creed participated in the festal celebration.
