Shirva Rotary 40th Anniversary: Founder Secretary honoured

Shirva, 25 March 2011: Dr. K. R. Venkatakrishna who was the founder Chartered Secretary and one of the founders of Rotary Club in Shrva 40 years ago and even today an active member, also a social worker and a senior doctor in Shirva, was honoured on the occasion of the 40th anniversary of Rotary Club Shirva by senior members Dr. N. S. Shetty and S. Ismail, who also wished him on the occasion.

 

The function was conducted at Bantakal Rotary Shathabda Hall. Chief Guest of the function Kuthyaru Krishnamurthy Bhat - Rotary founder member and Shrikshethra Yelluru former Trustee, in his speech appreciated Rotary Club Shirva for its 40 years of service to the public with equality and humanity. He also remembered late Pangala Vittala Shenoy, Founder President Rev. Fr. Victor Saldanha and all the others who founded Rotary Club in Shirva.

 

 

Dr. Venkatakrishna spoke and said that the contribution of all the members who maintained the club for all these years is most valuable. He also called upon to complete the Sabhabhavana and present it to the public. Dr. Venkatakrishna congratulated Ronald Sequeira – President of Rotary Club Shirva, Secretary Charles Noronha and Rotary Associate Governer K. R. Patkar couples.

 

William Machado and Lucas D’Souza initiated the friendly games for the get together celebrations. B. Pundalika Marathe offered the prayers. Secretary Dr. Gururaj proposed vote of thanks.
