Mangaluru: St Christopher Association celebrates Christmas at state-run School, Sooterpete

Mangaluru, 22 Dec 2016: St Christopher Association, here celebrated Christmas with the students of Government Primary School, Sooterpete, Valencia, here on Wednesday, December 21. It was held as part of golden jubilee celebration of Association.

 

Fr Valerian Fernandes, editor of Raknno – Konkani Illustrated Monthly Magazine, published by diocesan authority, was the chief guest. Speaking on the occasion, Fr Valerian appealed the students to inculcate life values and helping the fellowmen.

 

 

He also donated water purifier, maps and other useful items to the students.

 

The Association president Susheeel Noronha briefed about the path treaded by the Association in the past 50 years. The School head teacher Vasanti presented the report of school activities.

 

The Association vice president Francis D’Souza was present. Nigel Pereira proposed vote of thanks.

 

The students presented cultural shows after the stage programme. Kuswar was distributed to the students on this joyous occasion.
