Abu Dhabi: GMC Dubai wins Canara Cup - 2016, Eagles Abu Dhabi runner up

Abu Dhabi, 04 Dec 2016: Our Own Cluster (OOC) – UAE organized Canara Cup – 2016, UAE level cricket tournament at Sheikh Zayed Stadium, here on Friday, December 2.
Fr Ashok, parish priest of St Paul parish, Musafa, here inaugurated the tournament along with Konkani Prayer Group co-ordinators Rupert Vas (Abu Dhabi city parish), Robert Pinto (Musafa parish) on Friday at 9.00am.
UAE national anthem was played before beginning the tournament.
OOC – UAE team was established in 2014 with a few enthusiastic youth to encourage new talent. It has grown in strength with many members from all over UAE organized many indoor and outdoor activities.

Tournament Umpires – Mr. Imran Ahmed & Mr. Miraj Khaled – members of Pakistan cricket player Mr.Shoaib Malik Team. Mangalorean food counters special attraction of the tournament that was concluded at 5.00pm. Whole tournament compared by well known anchor Mr. Loyd D’souza Dubai.
Eight teams: Eagles Abu Dhabi, Canara Konkan, Arabian Strikers, Abu Dhabi Mangalorean, Karavali Royals, Mangalore Lions, Giri Friends and GMC Dubai participated in the tourney.
