Monday, 14 March 2011: Ferrari is coming to India. Mumbai-based Shreyans has been appointed as the Italian car’s official importer. The first Ferrari dealership in India will open in New Delhi, followed by another in Mumbai. The legendary car maker will initially launch four of its models in the Indian market.

The Ferrari California is a convertible Gran Turismo with an 8-cylinder engine. It is based on the original 2+ concept.

 

The 458 Italia is an 8-cylinder two-seater berlinetta with a mid-rear mounted engine.

 

The ’GTB’ in the 599 GTB Fiorani stands for Gran Turismo Berlinetta, after the most famous Ferrari berlinettas ever built, and ’599’ is the displacement of the V12 engine divided by 10.

 

FF is an acronym for Ferrari Four (four seats and four-wheel drive). It is the company’s first first four-seater, four-wheel drive car.
