Annual Utsav Celebrated at Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple Nakre

Karkala, 22 February 2011:  Five days annual Utsav was celebrated at Sri Mahalingeshwara Temple from 10th to 14th February 2011 with various religious programs in a grand manner. On the first day the 5 days Utsav began with the flag hoisting. After that every day Mahapooje was conducted by the Chief Priest of the Mandir Sri Ramesh Bhat and  also the Bali Utsav was conducted by Sri Ramadas Udupa.

 

With the contributions from donors Anna Santharpane and other programs were conducted. On the concluding day Thumbila Seve was performed to the resident Daivas and Naga Daivas. On that day Balimurthy of Sri Daiva was taken to the lake near Nakre Varnabettu and given Jalaka Seve and in various places Katte Pooje was performed.

 

 

 

 

 

On 14th February in the morning the 5 days celebration was concluded by lowering the flag. All the Pooja Vidhis were conducted under the leadership of Sri Hayavadhana Thanthri with the assistance of Mokthesara N. Vishwanath Nayak and Saha Mokthesaras, Archaka team and the villagers. Hundreds of local and outside Devotees participated in this Utsav.
