Bahrain, 15 Feb 2016: Work for a cause and not for applause; live life to express and not to impress. These lines have absolutely described what Bellevision Bahrain means. Under the motto and vision of “Striving for Togetherness” Bellevision Bahrain has been in presence and people friendly in Bahrain for the past five years.
Bellevision Bahrain a small tiny association that was first formed on 16th November 2010 with few families under the leadership of Mr. Joel D’sa is now 5 years old. The strength is now tripled as almost every member from Moodubelle and neighboring places, residing in Bahrain have joined the BV Family. To mark the completion of five victorious and magnificent years, the BV Bahrain family gathered together on 11th February at Baan Saeng Thai Auditorium to celebrate the annual day.
The program began at 8.40 pm with a short and sweet stage program conducted by the founder President Joel D’sa. EXCOM members along with chief guest Fr. Freddy, Parish Priest of Sacred Heart Church, Manama cut the cake. President Ivan D’souza welcomed one and all and thanked his committee for their support throughout the year. Secretary Mrs. Sylvia D’souza read out the annual report of all the programs and charity works conducted during the year. In his address, Fr. Freddy appreciated the unity of Bellevision Bahrain members and emphasized the gathering to teach children the true values of lent season. All the supporters and well wishers of BV Bahrain were presented with memento as a token of appreciation for their all time love and support.
The main attraction of the night was a pleasant surprise by the EXCOM members. When the stage program concluded Joel D’sa called forward all the gathering and lead Mr. Edward & Mrs. Shanti Noronha to a pre-arranged location to do the symbolic opening of Boliye St. Lawrence Feast “Saanthmaari”. It was the effort of EXCOM members to create a typical scene of the annual feast of St. Lawrence at Moodubelle Church. Everyone had lovely time going around various stalls, playing the ring games, enjoying the mitai, thambde gule, charmuri etc. and also there were many religious relics on sale.
The non-stop cultural program of about two and half hours was indeed a lovely and jolly entertainment with number of dances and songs by the members and children. A skit written and directed by Naveen Mendonca Padubelle, titled “Golmaal Clinic” largely entertained the audience. Being the 5th annual day an equal and open opportunity was provided to everyone to present their skills and talent. The outstanding and outgoing children of BV Bahrain, Hazel D’sa, Ashel Castelino, Rynal D’souza and Ashton Castelino who had excelled in an extraordinary way in various fields were felicitated. Kishore D’souza conducted this event. Mrs. Veera Noronha in her vote of thanks, conveyed thanks to all those who helped and strived together in putting up such a wonderful annual event. Power point presentation with pictures of the past five year events was put up, which was managed by Mr. Godwin Castelino.
A special fusion dance of retro type by six couples was a special attraction to mark the Valentine’s day celebration, which for sure is a everlasting memory. In-house raffle draws were conducted by Joel D’sa at regular intervals giving away exquisite 12 prizes. All children were presented with lovely gifts arranged by Sunil D’sa.
Considering the lent, appetizing dinner with most veggies on the menu was served by the hotel. DJ Francy’s was in attendance with his famous beats. Photography and videography was covered by Rony Fernandes, Ashton Castelino, Wilson and Wilroy D’souza. Mrs. Nirmala Fernandes adeptly conducted the program.
