Mumbai, 09 Feb 2016: At the joint aegis of Billawar Association Mumbai®, Sahitya Balaga Mumbai® and Kannada department of Mumbai University, an introspection on Bannanje idealogy was held at Narayana Guru auditorium of Billava Bhavan, Santacruz (East) here on Sunday February 7 morning.
Kavita Udupa read the poetry of renowned poet Bannanje. Sahitya Balaga Mumbai vice president advocate Amita Bhagavat spoke on Kannada translation of Banabatta novel, while Dr Mallepuram Venkatesh spoke on original works of literary scion Bannanje.
Dr Veena Bannanje delivered the talk on Bannanje ideology.
Dr Veena said, ‘The greatness lies with my father who laid his trust in me. It’s tragic that humans are inclining on one specific class. The balanced approach in life is the real virtue. The comparison creates everything. Mobile has filled the loneliness with cosmic arrangement, because of its convenience,’ said Dr Veena.
Forget the incidents in life sooner they occur. It’s greatness to find humanity in people regardless of caste, creed and religion. The indifference to gender, caste/sect, race/color among humans is unjustified. It’s irony that such vices are creating havoc on humanity, making every-day living difficulty. It leads the humanity to utter misery. Therefore, the greatness lies in knowing the humanity in its entirety, added Dr Veena.
Dr Bannanje Govind Acharya, Sahitya Balaga Mumbai® president H B L Rao, vice president N R Rao, secretary S K Sundar, Billavar Association president Nityanand D Kotian, honorary general secretary Dharmapal G Anchan, Pradeep Kumar Kalkura, Dr Vyasaraya Ninjoor, Sudhir R L Shetty, Dr Sunita M Shetty, P V Aithal and others were present.
