Bahrain, 05 Jan 2016: Bellevision Bahrain families gathered at Papillion Hotel banquet hall on Friday January 1 afternoon, to celebrate Christmas and New Year.
A warm welcome and short event highlight was given by Ronnie Alva, who compered the entire programme diligently. The celebration began with carols singing by members and children who sang melodiously as DJ Ashton assisted with the music. The carols singing practice to the carolers was given by Ronald Fernandes.
Santa’s arrival in the hall brought happiness and smiles as he distributed chocolates and greeted everyone. It was a good surprise to all children when they received gifts from Santa, which was brought by their parents secretly.
President Ivan D’Souza conveyed his greetings and best wishes to one and all. An elderly couple from Pamboor, parents of Priscilla Machado who are on visit was present.
Maurice and Lilly Noronha, well known as Malla Master, also conveyed his greetings and applauded Bellevision Bahrain.
Group dance related to Christmas was performed by Devina, Delisha, Iral, Erina, Ashel and Nikitha and a solo dance by Shannel. Ivan Sequeira and Ronald Fernandes sang lovely Konkani songs. Spot questions for adults and games for children were conducted by Nirmala Fernandes. Special attraction was the variety of kuswar, some of which was homemade and shared by our members.
Veera Noronha thanked all the sponsors and those who helped in arranging this wonderful gathering. Arun Castelino, Damu and Ivan Diana D’Souza decorated the stage and hall, soft drinks were sponsored by Walter Lobo, wine for ladies by Ronald Princy Alva, chocolates for children by Ivan Shanti D’Souza, gifts for games by Kishore D’Souza. Ancilla and Laveena managed the registration desk and Roshan took charge of the bar. Scrumptious lunch was served by Papillon adding to it the mouth watering pork prepared by Alfreeda Castelino.
Continuous baila dance session at the end energized everyone on the floor. Although it was a small gathering as many members along with families were on annual vacation at Mangaluru, it was a memorable one.
