Udupi: 42 parishioners partake in Psalms Singing Competition organized by Moodubelle parish

Udupi, 16 Dec 2015: St Lawrence parish, Moodubelle, near here organized Psalms singing competition for the parishioners on Sunday December 12. The competitions were held in 2 groups: 10 years to 15 years and above 16 years.  Cyprian Lobo, parishioner of St Roque ward sponsored the cash prizes to the winners of this competition. The cash prizes were Rs 10,000 for I prize, Rs 5,000 for II prize and Rs 2,500 for III prize.

 

Moodubelle parish priest Fr Clement Mascarenhas inaugurated the competitions after the prayer song on Sunday at 4.00pm.

 

Kuntalnagar parish priest Fr Denis D’Sa, sponsor Cyprian’s mother Agnes Lobo, Moodubelle parish council vice president A K Alva and secretary Latha were present at the dais.

 

Fr Denis D’Sa was the juror of Psalms singing competition.

 

 

The lots were taken by the 18 participants of age group between 10 years to 15 years, 24 participants above 16 years.  It was an awesome get-together of 42 participants in at the parish halll.

 

Fr Clement Mascarenhas declared the names of winners:

In the age group of 10 years to 15 years: Jemima Aranha bagged the first place, Anisha Rebello, Viana Fernandes adn Viola D’Sa bagged the second place, Jenson D’Souza and Joyce Fernandes bagged the third place.

 

In the age group of 16 years and above: Anita Alva bagged the first place, Adline Mathias and Jovita Shiny bagged the second place, Charles Quadros, Joy Fernandes and Carol Quadros and Rolwin Quadros bagged the third prize.
