Karkal, 15 Nov 2015: St Joseph’s Kannada and English Medium Schools, Belman, near here celebrated Children’s Day, one-hundred-twenty-sixth birth anniversary of India’s first PM the late Pundit Jawaharlal Nehru, in a unique manner on Saturday November 14.
The students wearing colorful dresses, without the loads of school bags arrived enthusiastically at the school campus..! The teachers rendered them warm welcome, while the students enjoyed along with their teachers in the playground with variety entertainment shows. They relished on delicious lunch sponsored by Kodimar Vedavyas Bhat.
The school pupil leader Pooja V Salian presided the programme.
The class leaders from KG to High School were the chief guests of the occasion. The teachers offered prayers and welcomed the guests with floral bouquets. The teachers presented children’s songs, briefed on the backdrop of Children’s Day celebration and its importance. The teachers also presented a dance. It’s how they celebrated Children’s Day in a unique manner.
The class leaders Akash Putran, Tejas, Carol, Rolisha, Zeenal, Disha, Sangeeta, Sharanya Shetty, Sushma, Gowtam, Fiona, Glyaran were the chief guests present on the dais.
The convent superior Sr Usha Stella presented floral bouquet to the school pupil leader. The senior teachers Juliana Moras, Lilly D’Souza, Pundalika Marate, Harshendra Kumar Jain, Lavina Pinto, Divya and Jyoti Devadiga, Janet D’Souza, Gayatri Bhat, Supreeta D Paul, Sarita Noronha, Shanta Devadiga, Pratima D’Souza, Pricilla Misquit and Jacinta were present.
The teacher Vincent Pinto compered the programme. The students enjoyed the daylong celebration of Children’s Day.
