Mangaluru: Student achievers honored during Sambram - 2015, daylong youth gathering

Mangaluru, 28 Oct 2015: YCS Episcopal city deanery organized Sambram – 2015, daylong youth gathering for all the youth of this deanery, with the theme Youth, the light of the world here recently.  

 

The inaugural programme was presided by mayor Jacinta who was the chief guest of the occasion.

 

 

Fr Ronald D’Souza, director of YCS /YSM Mangaluru diocese, Fr Ashwin Cardoza, director of YCS ECD, Fr Valerian D’Souza, parish priest of Milagres parish, Robin Cutinha, YCS ECD animator along with ECD president Jennifer Pereira and secretary Relsto Lobo were present at the dais.

 

Students who had achieved excellency in various activities were honored during the programme.

 

Professor Bhagyashree Bhandary of K S Hegde Medical Academy spoke on love and friendship.

 

Afternoon session was followed by the Holy Mass celebrated by Rosario parish assistant preist Fr Paul along with Fr Ashwin Cardoza.

 

Mass was followed by lunch and group dynamics.

 

 

The concluding programme was presided by Fr Rajesh Rozario and Rev Fr Stany Periera, former parish priests of Urwa here.

 

ECD YCS had conducted competitions like collage, poetry and essay writing. The prize winners were awarded during the concluding program.

 

The programme concluded with non-stop baila music.
