Udupi, 20 Oct 2015: Syndicate Bank, one of the oldest and major commercial bank in India, celebrated its 90th Foundation Day here on Tuesday October 20.
The bank was set up by the visionaries Dr T M A Pai, Upendra Ananth Pai and Vaman S Kudva. The first branch of the bank started its operations in 1925 at Udupi. The Foundation Day celebrations were held in all its branches across India. Blood Donation camps were organized at various centers in connection with the event on Monday October 19.
As a part of the celebrations, Syndicate Bank, Moodubelle branch felicitated 2 of its long standing customers - Fr Clement Mascarenhas representing St Lawrence Church, Moodubelle here and Bernard G D Souza of Kattingeri here.
The staff members of the branch have taken a pledge on the occasion re-dedicating themselves to the service of the bank and its customers.
