Kuwait, 11 Oct 2015: The pleasant climate drew large crowds at KCWA family picnic, which was held at Ahmadi Garden here on Friday October 9. The fun-filled day started with prayer led by Deepak Andrade.
The event was inaugurated by KCWA former presidents Felix Saldanha, Pascal B Pinto, Rudy D’Souza, Stephen Machado and Anil Fernandes.
KCWA president Albert Praveen Menezes welcomed the gathering. Stephen Machado conducted round-pole relay game for governing Committee. Various games - single wicket bowling for all, musical chair for kids aged 0-6 years, Oreo biscuit race for children of 7-12 years age group, chilly in the bottle for teenagers, tailing the donkey for senior citizens, dodging the ball for all, dog and bone game for all, shot-put for men and women, passing the ball for all, catching water balloon for couples, round-pole relay, picking the balls for children of 0-6 years age, Hoola hoop for children aged 7-12 years were conducted by the Committee members.
Announcements were done by Deepak Andrade, Manohar Prabhu, Anil Fernandes, Stephen Machado.
Rudy D’Souza recited grace before meals. M&M Confectionery and Caterers served the breakfast and lunch which was enjoyed by all. Steevan Misquith, Gilbert Mathias, Vijay D’Souza and Naveen Mascarenhas managed the food counters.
In the afternoon session, housie-housie game, breaking-the-pot and tug-of-war for men and women were the special attractions. Prizes were distributed to the winners of various games. Marin Quiz winner Roshan Cordero was presented with a gift.
Albert Praveen Menezes thanked all for the support and participation. Anil Fernandes led the final prayers by thanking the Lord and Blessed Mother Mary, patroness of KCWA. The fun-filled day concluded with a hymn.
Alban D’Souza captured the event through his lens. Anand D’Souza of Waves Event Engineering provided the sound. The event was successfully coordinated by Steven Rego with the support of governing Committee members and volunteers.
