Mangaluru, 14 Sep 2015: Catholic Action League (CAL) for the first time in Mangaluru diocese organized an inter-parish youth cultural fest, Chorus - 2015 at St Sebastian platinum jubilee hall, here on Sunday September 13.
The diocesan ICYM director Fr Ronald D’Souza was the chief guest inaugurated Chorus – 2015 here on Sunday morning.
CAL director and Bendore praish priest Fr Antony Serrao, assistant director Fr Jason Lobo, animator Walter Colaco, Bendore parish council president Vincent Goveas and secretary Ronald Valder and Bendore parish youth and cultural Committee convener Sujith Norohna, CAL president Glayson Menezes, secretary Michelle D’Souza and convener Nikhil Nazareth were present on the dais.
Chorus - 2015 was a huge success having 180 participants from 12 parishes from Episcopal city deanery.
Chorus was a platform to bring out the talents as well as it was a effort by CAL to bring together ICYM units of different parishes.
Chorus 2015 had various exciting youth oriented events for new generation: photography, face painting, quiz, cooking without fire, ramp walk, 60 seconds for fame, mad ads, treasurer hunt and tug of war.
Dakshina Kannada district NSUI president Ashith Pereira and Mangaluru south youth Congress president Meryl Rego were the chief guests of valedictory function held on Sunday evening.
CAL assistant director Fr Jason Lobo, Glayson Menezes and Michelle D’Souza were present on the dais.
Vamanjoor parish was the winners of Chorus – 2015 and Cordel parish was the runner up.
