Bantwal, 15 Aug 2015: Sixty-ninth Independence Day celebrations were held with grandeur at Holy Savior parish Schools, Agrar, near here on Saturday August 15 morning.
Agrar parish priest and correspondent of Parish schools Fr Benjamin Pinto hoisted the national flag at the school premises.
Fr Benjamin in his address gave a call to work for the unity and integrity of the nation. ‘We have been a reason for the lack of national integrity due to the differences in the name of caste and creed. Being true Indians our aim should be to maintain the unity and integrity of the nation,’ said Fr Benjamin.
The correspondent was earlier welcomed by the School band and was escorted to the dais.
Agrar parish council secretary Santosh Sequeira, former vice president Cyril D’Mello, the teachers were present.
The cultural shows depicting patriotism were presented to conclude the programme.
