Devdas Hebbar (BJP) elected as the member of the Udupi Taluk Panchayat

Moodubelle, 04 January 2011: Devdas Hebbar who had contested the Udupi Taluk Panchayat elections as the BJP candidate was declared elected from Belle Grama Panchayat constituency. The elections for both the Zilla Panchayat and Taluk Panchayat were held on 31st December 2010 of which counting was held on Tuesday, 4th January 2011. The BJP workers were seen celebrating the victory of Devdas Hebbar by bursting firecrackers in front of the BJP office in Moodubellee at 12.15 pm.

 

 

Devdas Hebbar has been actively involved in social work since the last 27 years. He was elected as the member of the Belle Grama Panchayat from Kattingeri four times so far. He had served the Belle Grama Panchayat as Vice President. Devdas Hebbar’s other important positions include-Director and  Vice President of  Belle C.A. Bank; President of Jana jagruti Vedike Udupi; President of the Old Students’ Associations of St. Lawrence Composite PU College, Moodubelle and St. Mary’s College, Shirva; Managing Trustee of Shri Brahmalingeshwara temple, Kattingeri;  member of the Lions Club of Moodubelle; Secretary of Shri Sarvajanika  Ganeshotsava Mandali for the last 21 years and Honorary President of Edmeru Nisarga Yuvaka Mandala.
