Udupi/M’Belle, 21 May 2015: For a record fifth year in succession, St. Lawrence English Medium High School, Moodubelle scored hundred percent result in SSLC examination that was held in the month of March 2015. Results were declared on 12 May 2015.
Out of 37 students who had appeared for the SSLC examination in 2015 all the students passed with flying colours. 15 students secured distinction with above 85 percent marks; 19 students passed in the first class; 2 students in second class and a lone students in pass class.
Pavana S Salvankar, Preston DSouza, Resma Mathias
The first three rank holders in the school scored above 90 percent marks. Pavana S. Salvankar stood first with 601 out of 625 marks (96.16 percent); Preston Antony D’Souza secured second position with 591 marks (94.56 percent) and Reshma Mathias acquired third position with 586 marks(93.76 percent).
Rev. Fr. P. Raj, the outgoing Principal of St. Lawrence English Medium High School expressed satisfaction over the results and congratulated the students and teachers for their excellent performance. The former and present parish priests, Rev. Fr. Joswey Fernandes and Rev. Fr. Clement Mascarenhas conveyed their congratulations to Rev. Fr. P. Raj, staff and students for keeping the tradition of securing cent percent results for the successive fifth year.
St. Lawrence PU College:
PU results were declared on 19 May 2015. The students of St. Lawrence PU College in all the three faculties-Science, Commerce and Arts performed quite well and secured good results for the institution.
Out of 148 students who had appeared for the Second Year PU examinations 137 declared to have been passed, thus securing 93 percent overall results. 16 students have passed with distinction marks; 93 students have secured first class; 22 students have secured second class and 7 students have been placed in the pass class.
Deepak Prabhu, Vinay
Errol Quadros, Prajwal Rodrigues
Deepak Prabhu who has secured 581 out of 600 marks (96.83 percent) is the first among all the PU students of the college and also first in the Second Year Commerce. He has secured 100 marks in three subjects-Business Studies, Accountancy and Statistics. Vinaya of Second Year Science has secured second overall position and first in Science stream with 569 marks (94.83 percent) and secured 100 marks in the subject of Computer Science. Errol Ikon Quadros of Second Year Commerce has secured third overall position in the college with 555 marks(92.5 percent). Prajwal with 536 marks (89.33 percent) has secured first position in Second Year Arts.
St. Lawrence Kannada Medium High School:
For the first time since 2008 St. Lawrence Kannada Medium High Scholl has registered 95 percent results. Out of 59 students those who had appeared for the SSLC examination in 2015, 56 have passed the examination.
Kavya, Prajwal Nayak, Prajwal Suvarna
Kavya with 88 percent marks has stood first in St. Lawrence Kannada Medium High School; Prajwal Nayak has secured second position with 87.04 percent and Prajwal Suvarna acquired third position with 85.76 percent marks.

Paul Sequeira, Principal of St. Lawrence PU College said that in spite of all difficulties the staff members as well as the students have put in great efforts in bringing good results to the Pu College as well as St. Lawrence Kannada Medium High School.
