Manipal, 17 December 2010: The D C Office at Manipal End Point, which is in the finishing stage of construction has been released Rs. 7 crores by Chief Minister Yediyurappa, which is required to complete the work. Upon completion of the work, the D C Office will be inaugurated by end of January 2011.
During his recent visit to Udupi, Yediyurappa revied the required fund to complete the construction work and the same has been released, said Higher Education Minister Dr. V. S. Acharya. He said, 90 percent of the work is already completed and the building consists of special architecture. Originally the cost of the construction was estimated to 22 crores. But due to the increase in costs the total cost has increased to 29 crores.
Manipal end point and the road leading to the end point is a beautiful location with a lovely garden and is famous for its panoramic views and wonderful lush green landscape overlooking Swarna River winding its way to the sea. It is one of those quiet, scenic places where time comes to a stand-still.
