Kundapura: Rotary Sports Meet 2010

Kundapura, 07 December 2010: Rotary Sports Meet 2010 is held at Gandhi Maidan, Kundapura on Sunday 05th December 2010. This sports meet was jointly organized by Rotary District 3180 Sports Committee and Rotary Club, Kundapura. “Mr. World” Raymond D’Souza inaugurated the sports meet by releasing the baloons.

 

Upon inauguration the popular body builder Raymond D’Souza said “the talents in the sports field must be identified and they should be encouraged and supported. If one has the talent and adopts the sport in the life it is possible to excel and bring honour to our state and even to our country". After taking the baton in a procession and lighting the sports light, members of Rotary Club conducted the march past.

 

 

The inaugural function was presided over by Jnanavasanth Shetty – Governer of Rotary District 3180. Other dignitaries present in the occasion were B. Sadashiva Prabhu – Asst. Commissioner Kundapura, G. S. Bhat – President of Rotary Club Kundapura Region, Sathish Shetty – Asst. Governer of Rotary Area 1, K. R. Nayak – President of District Sports Committee, K. Shripada Upadyaya – Vice President of District Sports Meet 2010 – 11.

 

Abhinandana A. Shetty welcomed the guests and the gathering. Dr. H. Ramamohan – President of the District Sport Meet 2010 – 11 in his speech spoke about the sports meet in detail. Raghavendracharan compeered the program.
