Udupi: St. Cecily’s Composite P.U. College Celebrated Golden Jubilee

Udupi, 05 December 2010: St. Cecily’s Composite P.U. College celebrated Golden Jubilee on 03rd December 2010. Rev. Fr. Baptist Minezes - Episcopal Vicar formally inaugurated the celebration by lighting the lamp. Oscar Fernandes - Congress Leader and Former Central Minister was the chief guest. Sr. M. Lynette - Provincial Superior of Karnataka State, Kiran Kumar - President of City Corporation and Dr. B.V. Mohandas were the guests of honour.

 

Other guests and dignitaries present on the occasion were Blossom Fernandes, Sr. Nirmala, Sr. M. Shaila – Correspondent of St. Cecily’s Composite P.U. College and Baskar Rao Kidiyoor – President of Student Teacher’s Association.

 

 

Oscar Fernandes in his speech expressed his wish that every child should be educated. He also said that he still remembers studying in this same Institution up to 5th standard and there is a huge contribution of this Institution in his personality development.

 

Sr. Rosy Mendonsa – Principal of St. Cecily’s Composite P.U. College welcomed the guests and the gathering. The students performed various dance programs with colourful dresses, which entertained the audience. Devendra Nayak compeered the program. Annette Fernandes proposed vote of thanks.
