Dubai: Emirates pangalites holds fun filled family Picnic

Dubai, 27 November 2010: Emirates Pangalites had organized a full days Exciting picnic at the lush greens of Zabeel Park in Dubai on 26 November 2010.

 

The Picnic commenced at 12.00 noon with the registration. This was witnessed by around 100 people with family and friends of Pangalites residing in UAE which truly served the aim of organizing this picnic. The participants from all the age groups right from the age of 4 years to the age of 60 years. Refreshments with soft drinks and biscuits were served .

 

Earlier president of Emirates Pangalites Vinay welcomed the gathering. The much awaited action began with the grouping of the participants into four teams i.e. Go green, Golden Angel, pangala prakash and the Royal Challengers to make the people actively participate in the events with a competitive spirit.

 

Games were organized keeping in mind the enthusiasm and the winning spirit of the people. During the course of the day different games were conducted for the children and the older crowd to liven up their spirits and to set free the animal within them and points were given to the winning teams. Games were conducted by Joel. Noel, Micky and Vinay with the help of committee members. Games were ended with the most thrilling Tug of War.

 

 

Delicious food, Tea and Golibage were served by Al Shay Restaurent , Karama.

 

The event was even more enriched by the graceful presence of the leaders of the Konkani community as well as the ex presidents and other senior members of Emirates Pangalites who distributed prizes for the winners.Golden Angles group emerged as overall champion of the day.Shaila proposed vote of thanks.

 

The success of the Picnic lies in the whole hearted support from all its committee members who put their heart & mind to make this event a huge success.
