Puttur, 01 Dec 2014: The abduction case of a 24-year old named Keerthika has got a new twist with the accused getting kidnapped minutes before the hearing of the said case at Puttur Court on Monday, December 1.

Keerthika, a resident of Kallare was allegedly abducted in September this year. A man named Denson who was accused of kidnapping Keerthika, was abducted while he was about to appear before the court on Monday.
According to sources, Denson had arrived from Bengaluru with his father Joseph. As he was seated in his vehicle at around 10.30 a.m., Keerthika’s father Nityananda Vaidya, husband Giridhar Bhat and two unknown men are alleged to have shifted him to their vehicle and fled from the spot.

Joseph has registered a complaint in this regard with the Puttur police. Keerthika’s abduction case was filed at the same station on September 13.
Keerthika, an engineer was married to Puttur based photographer Giridhar Bhat. Post marriage, she shifted her base to Bengaluru owing to her career. Keerthika is said to have developed an affair with Bengaluru based Denson. Upset with this, Giridhar brought her back to Puttur in January this year.
It is said that Denson too arrived to Puttur and stayed in touch with Keerthika through a friend. He is said to have abducted Keerthika on September 13 from Kallare here. After an abduction complaint was registered, police visited Denson’s residence in Bengaluru. Upon not finding her there, it was suspected that she might have been hidden elsewhere.
Learning that Denson had to arrive to the Puttur Court today, Keerthika’s family is alleged to have kidnapped him to reveal out Keerthika’s whereabouts.
