Karkal, 15 Nov 2014: At the joint aegis of Rotary Club International (RCI) 0 Belman and St Joseph’s Higher Primary School, Belman, near here one-hundred-twenty-fifth birth anniversary of Pandit Jawaharlal Nehru was celebrated along with Swachh Bharat campaign by the students at the School, here on Friday November 14.
The School pupil leader Jenishya Noronha presided the programme and spoke about the children’s responsibility at school and home.
RCI – Belman founder secretary Vignesh Shenoy, Alwyn Neri Pinto, Jitesh Kanchan were the chief guests of the occasion conveyed best wishes to students on Children’s Day.
The teachers held different games, quiz, singing and community cleaning for the students on the occasion.
The class leaders were present at the dais.
The honorary teacher Jacinta Vaz welcomed the gathering. The teacher Juliana Moras introduced the winners of different competitions. Lilly D’Souza presented the Children’s Day song. Pundalika Marate held the quiz. The head teacher Sr Monica, Sr Usha Stella, Divya and Lavina Pinto distributed the prizes to the winners.
The physical training instructor Harshendra Kumar Jain conducted the games. Vincent Pinto compered the programme. Janita Andrade proposed vote of thanks.
Kodimar Vedavyas Bhat, Anisha Diana Qyadros organized the snacks and beverages.
