Udupi, Nov 04, 2014: If the women show respect to their elders in families, it would help their children to respect them when they grow old, said the state urban development and Udupi district-in-charge minister Vinayakumar Sorake.
The minister Sorake was speaking during the death anniversary of Indira Gandhi and Kannada Rajyotsav that was organized by Kaup block women Congress at Jeevan Asha Trust, Shirva, near here on Saturday November 1.
Speaking on the occasion, minister Sorake said, ‘I have been contributing Rs 10,000 each every month to Manasa Rehabilitation Centre, Pamboo and Vishwasadamane, Shankarapura, near here, and I will begin to contribute Rs 10,000 to Jeevan Asha Trust old age home, Shirva from this month onwards,’ said minister Sorake.
The minister Sorake distributed fruits to the inmates of Jeevan Asha Trust old age home.
He also felicitated the district Rajyotsav awardee Kaup Roopam Studio veteran photographer Laxman Suvarna, social activist TP former president Veronica Cornelio on the same occasion.
