Mangalore: Sheldon Crasta Elected as President of Konkani Prachar Sanchalan

Mangalore, 30 Oct 2014: Sheldon Crasta, former president of Mangalore diocesan ICYM and Konkani activist elected as president of Konkani Prachar Sanchalan during the annual general body meeting held here on Wednesday October 29.

 

Sheldon Crasta is a parishioner of St Sebastian parish, Bendore.

 

 

Sheldon is the youngest president of Konkani Prachar Sanchalan since its inception in 2006.
 
The organization has been also working to create awareness to save the Konkani language and its culture.

 

Konkani Prachar Sanchalan has been striving to create awareness among Konkans to sustain mother tongue Konkani. Besides, it also collaborates with Karnataka Konkani Sahitya Academy in taking Konkani literature to the doorstep of Konkans by mobile bazaar.
