Udupi, Oct 22, 2014: The NSS annual special camp that has been attended by 50 participants was filled with new experiences contributes for personality development. NSS camps are indeed helpful for the participants to learn community living by shunning excessive use of mobile and drugs. It should enhance keeping in bay the crush on opposite sex, said Fr Paul Sequeira, principal of St Lawrence PU College, Moodubelle, near here.
Fr Paul was speaking during the valedictory function of NSS annual special camp of St Lawrence PU College, Moodubelle, near here held at Government Higher Primary School, Kajaraguttu, here on Tuesday October 21.
Kajaraguttu Government Higher Primary School alma mater president Anil Shetty, the school PTA president Vishnu Tendulkar, the school betterment Committee president Prashant Nayak, Belle parish council former vice president Henry Fernandes, Kajaraguttu Stree Shakti self-help-group member Prema, Naveen Bangalore, NSS unit leader S P Sagar were present.
The camp participants Shiny Alva, Amit Sequeira and Anusri shared the camp experiences. Amit bagged top camp participant award and Kenneth bagged special camp participant award.
NSS officer Edward Larsen welcomed the gathering. The project officer Naveen Correa proposed vote of thanks. The deputy camp officer Dileep Shetty compered the programme.
