We are fortunate to be born in India, wherein everyone is equal regardless of gender, caste, creed and religion. God has come to the rescue of mankind whenever there were immoral overtures, irreligiousness and total chaos among the people on earth. India has been the abode of family living, said the veteran teacher and journalist B Pundalika Marate.
Pundalika was speaking during the valedictory of Udupi district convention of Respect Mankind, historical Karnataka mobile campaign lead by Sultanul Ulama Shaikuna A P Abubaker Musliar, organized by SSF, Kaup, here on Sunday October 19.
Pundalika called on the people to live on the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, helping the poor and downtrodden, support the education of girls, shun alcohol, oppose dowry and rekindle patriotism. The united efforts by the people regardless of faith, caste and creed would stem the terrorism in the country, said Pundalika.
