Udupi: India taught family system to world - Pundalika Marate

Udupi, Oct 20, 2014: India is a nation that thrived on peace and prosperity, always find happiness in others. We are fortunate to be born in India, wherein everyone is equal regardless of gender, caste, creed and religion. God has come to the rescue of mankind whenever there were immoral overtures, irreligiousness and total chaos among the people on earth. India has been the abode of family living, said the veteran teacher and journalist B Pundalika Marate.  

 

Pundalika was speaking during the valedictory of Udupi district convention of Respect Mankind, historical Karnataka mobile campaign lead by Sultanul Ulama Shaikuna A P Abubaker Musliar, organized by SSF, Kaup, here on Sunday October 19.

 

 

Pundalika called on the people to live on the ideals of Mahatma Gandhi, helping the poor and downtrodden, support the education of girls, shun alcohol, oppose dowry and rekindle patriotism. The united efforts by the people regardless of faith, caste and creed would stem the terrorism in the country, said Pundalika.

 

Sunni Teachers Federation Kaup president Al Haj M K Abdul Rasheed Sakafi Al Kamil Majoor, Kannangar range vice president Abdul Hakim Musliar, SYS Udupi district general secretary Moideen Haji Goodwill, S M A Kaup regional president M H Abdul Hameed Majoor, SYS Kaup Center chefi secretary Badruddin Ahsani Kaup, Karnataka campaign Udupi district publicity Committee president M A Bawa Muloor, division vice president Al Haj Moideen Sakafi Payyaru, treasurer Hanif Haji Kannangar were the chief guests present.

 

Division secretary Mohammed Rakib Kannangar welcomed the gathering. M K Ibrahim proposed vote of thanks. Abdul Salam Madani Alike compered the programme.
