Abu Dhabi, Sep 29, 2014: The Indian Ladies Association celebrated Dandiya with great gusto and colorful traditional way on Thursday, 25th September - the first day of Navaratri.
Programme started at 7pm with huge gathering without barrier of country, religion all were in their traditional costume Ghagra Choli with Dandiya Stick tapping their foot for high volume music which was remembering back home festival atmosphere kids, girls, boys, and their parents danced on their full of energy.
The wonderful outdoor venue of the Rawdath at the Dome, the football pitch turned into a dance floor as people danced and swayed to the beats of Garba. A crowd of more then 3000 people enjoyed the music of two DJs , DJ Ricky and DJ Sanjay, who flew in all the way from Malaysia for the event.
There were spot prizes, games and quizzes to entertain the rocking crowd when they got tired of dancing. They were treated with variety of soft drinks by Al Rawabi and Pepsi. It was very much appreciated by all.
Exhibition stalls were enjoyed by all with their traditional items specially for ladies set in the venue for people who wanted to shop. In its constant endeavor to give back to the society, ILA also set up a special counter for the Special Care Center.
