Mumbai, 20 Sep 2014: The metro based Malaika Multistate Co-operative Society convned its fourteenth annual general body meeting at St Joseph’s parish, Mira Road, here on Saturday September 20.
Malaika Group chairman and managing director Gilbert P Baptist presided the meeting. Mira Road parish priest Fr Nelson Pinto OCD was the chief guest offered motion for the meeting.
Gilbert Baptist in his presidential address announced 14 percent dividend to shareholders on the occasion.
The entrepreneur Clifton D’Silva and finance officer Uttam Chavan, Malaika Group director Marceline G Baptist, the Society chief auditor chartered accountant Eshwar H Chavan, auditor Manohar R Shetty were the guests of honor.
Speaking on the occasion, Fr Nelson said that success in business is attributed to thinking big, customer satisfaction and transparency in dealings. He hoped the Society becomes full pledged bank soon.
Noel Mascarenhas presented the annual report. Clifton offered info on launching IPO of Malaika Group and Reji Cherian offered info on Holy Land tour of Malaika Group.
The Society shareholders Loyal Baptist, Sushant S Sabat, Serapina Lopex and Alphonse Corda, Konkani Welfare Association office bearers John Crasta, Arun Noronha, dignitaries, staff of Malaika Group were present.
Earlier, Fr Nelson offered Thanksgiving Mass at Mira Road parish.
Franklyn Castelino welcomed the gathering. Malaika G Baptist proposed vote of thanks.
