Udupi: Traditional families carry forward celebration of Ganesha Chaturti in Belle GP

Udupi, 29 Aug 2014: The festival of Ganesha Chaturti was celebrated with gaiety in household families that have been celebrating the auspicious occasion since several decades in the neighbourhood of Belle gram panchayat near here on Friday August 29.

 

The tradition that had been started by the late Baburaya Kamat since 60 years ago has been carried forward by his family.

 

 
The tradition that had been started by the late Subbanna Nayak since 80 years ago has been carried forward by his family.

 

 
The tradition that had been started by the late Vittaldas Kini since 45 years ago has been carried forward by his family.

 

 
Malpate Friends celebrated thirty-fifth public celebration of Ganeshotsav at Geetha Mandir, by donating laddu, pulses etc @ Rs 42,000.  It will celebrate five-day public celebration of Ganesha Chaturti on the occasion.
