Udupi/M’belle: Vanamahotsava observed with the slogan: ’Garden to Each School-Plant to E

Udupi, 22 Aug 2014: Lions Club, Moodubelle along with Udupi Zilla Panchayat, Forest Department-Udupi Zone, NSS Unit of St. Lawrence Degree College, St. Lawrence English Medium High School and Church Aided Higher Primary School observed Vanamahotsava with the slogan of  ‘Garden to Each School-Plant to Each Student’, on Friday, 22 August 2014 at 10 am in the premises of Church Aided Higher Primary School, Moodubelle.

 

Ln Devdas Hebbar, former President of Udupi Taluk Panchayat and Secretary of Lions Club, Moodubelle in his introductory address highlighted the importance of ‘Vanamahotsava’ and the slogan chosen for the occasion. Thereafter, saplings were distributed to the students of St. Lawrence English Medium High School, Church Aided Higher Primary School and St. Lawrence Degree College.

 

 

The Vanamahotsava Programme was attended by Ln Rajendra Shetty-President of Belle Grama Panchayat and Treasurer of Lions Club, Moodubelle, Mrs. Ida Gibba D’Souza-member of the Udupi Zilla Panchayat,  Ln Elias Lobo-President of Lions Club of Moodubelle, Alphonse K. Alva-Vice President of  Parish Pastoral Council, Keshav Poojary-Forest Guard, Mrs. Sarita D’Souza-Principal of St. Lawrence Degree College, Fr. P. Raj-Principal of St. Lawrence English Medium High School, Sylvester Mathias-Headmaster of Church Aided Higher Primary School,  Mrs. Kusuma Makwan-NSS Programme Officer of St. Lawrence Degree College  and  members of Lions Club.
