Abu Dhabi: India Social Centre celebrates Independence Day with great cultural show and patriotism

Abu Dhabi: 16 Aug 2014:  On the occasion of India’s 68th Independence Day India social and Cultural Centre Abu Dhabi UAE organized the Independence celebrations with great patriotism by show casing wonderful cultural show.

 

Earlier in the day, the National flag hoisted at the roof of the ISC premises and national anthem was sung with great respect to the Nation. Mr Natarajan, Hon. President hoisted the flag on the presence of ISC Executives and members and other dignitaries, Huge number of indians with their traditional Indian dress according to the tri-color dress orange, green and white which exhinited total Indian national atmosphere.

 

But it was the cultural show organzied at the ISC premises that won the hearts of all attneded the magical show in the eving. The grand cultural show began at 8.30pm with a patriotic welcome song, followed by welcome speech Vinod ISC Hon. Gen. Secretary.  Mr Natrajan addressed the fully packed auditorium and explained the true meaning of Independence and highlighted sacrifice of the freedom fighters that won the Freedom from British Raj.

 

 

Chief Guest Mrs. Namrita Kumar  Deputy Chief of Mission, Embassy Of India spoke about  “ Swatantrata  and Swachhata  “ in his address to the audience and received a huge applause from the audience.

 

All the guests on the daiz addressed the audience namely: KSC acting President. Suneer M A,   K Usman Gen. Sec. IIS and  ILA President. Mrs Pushpa Srivastava, India Social And Cultural centre,  Abu Dhabi Malayali Samajam,  Kerala Social Centre,  Indian Islamic Centre and Indian Ladies Association jointly performed  a beautiful patriotic history of Indian Freedom fight and their scarifies of freedom fighters and highlighted the important incidents such as Jaliyan wala bagh – Vagon tragedy- Siphai March- Kitthur Channamma- Jhansi Rani Lakshmibai- Shivaji.  This patriotic presentation was breath taking and won the hearts of the audience and re-kindled the patriotic feelings in them.

 

Guru Smt. Asha Nair & Mr Rajan Pillai was felicitated with mementos for their Script & Direction of entire cultural show.
The grand show was ended with Indian national anthem, vote of thanks proposed by Shibu Varghese Abu Dhabi Malayali Smajam.
