Mangalore, 14 August 2014: A three members of family were found to have committed suicide at their home located at Hoigebail, here on Thursday August 14, over huge business losses.
The deceased has been identified as thirty-nine-year-old Shailesh, his wife Savita and their daughter ten-year-old Vidyalaxmi, Class V student of Canara Primary School.
Shailesh was found hanging to a ceiling fan; Savita and Vidyalaxmi are suspected to have consumed poison.
The incident came to light on Thursday morning, while the primary investigation revealed that suicides were committed 2 days ago.
The eye witnesses informed that TV was found to be on at their home, when the news broke here on Thursday morning.
Shailesh family shifted to this residence, after moving from Boloor. The neighbours saw them on Tuesday August 12 last.
Shailesh left behind a four-page death-note that he took the drastic step owing to business losses. He was running Akshata Finance and was overburdened with huge debts, when his partner left the firm.
The bodies were shifted to district Wenlock Hospital for autopsy.
Urwa police circle inspector Ramachandra Maledevar arrived at the spot.
Urwa police registered a case in this regard and investigations are under way.
