Carlo’s Gym to organize state level power lifting competition in Mangalore

Mangalore, Aug 14, 2014: The state level power lifting competitions will be held in the Carlo’s gym in the city said, Jayaram M The treasurer of the Karnataka Power Lifting Association.

 

Addressing the media persons in the press club he said, “The minister for health UT Khader will inaugurate the 40th Men’s and 32nd women’s power-lifting competitions in the town hall of the city on 16th of August while the Mayor of Mangalore city corporation Mahabala Marla will preside over the function. The competitions will go on 16th and 17th in the Carlo’s Gym near Bajjodi, Maroli road and will come to an end with the concluding ceremony on 17th  in the town hall.

 

 

“More than 150 participants in various categories are expected to participate in the competition from the prestigious gym’s from across the state. It is a noteworthy fact that power-lifters of National and international famewill also participate in this competetion. And the state team for National’s to be held in Goa from September 16th to 21 will be selected from this competition.”

 

“Dakshina Kannada has many power lifters who have raised made the district proud at Nationa and International events and hence tough fight is expected from all the teams”, he added.

 

The convenor of the Gym, Naveen Kumar, President of the Gym Vincent Prakash Karlo, Ex-Mayor Purandar Das Kuloor were among the present at the occasion.
