Kundapur: Top Awardee Gopady Yuvaka Mandala on mission-revival holds rural games

Kundapur, Aug 13, 2014 : Gopady Yuvaka Mandala ®, the Udupi district top youth clubs award winner and Sahana Yuvati Mandal, jointly organized varieties of rural games competitions at Gopady, near here on Tuesday August 12, with the key objective of reviving traditional rural games in the midst of craze for cricket.

 

The varieties of rural games some were on verge of near extinction were held for men, youth, girls and women.

 

 

The boys and girls enthusiastically partaken in rural games that were held in silted-paddy fields driven by sports spirit.

 

The prizes will be distributed to the winners on Independence Day August 15.

 

Gopady Yuvaka Mandala ® president Sripati Upadhya Gopady, secretary Madhav Acharya, sports secretary Vinendra Acharya, members Giridar Muniyalu, Sridar Acharya, Krishnayya Acharya, Sahana Yuvati Mandala president Sujata Giridar Acharya, secretary Poornima Sherigar, vice president Kalavati Acharya, members Vanajakshi, Sushma R and others were present.
