Kundapur: Apostolic Carmel nuns celebrate feast of Our Lady of Carmel

Kundapur, 18 Jul 2014: The religious congregation of Apostolic Carmel celebrated the feast of Our Lady of Carmel at their convent on Wednesday July 16.
 
Kundapur – Our Lady of Rosaries parish priest and Kundapur deanery vicar Fr Anil D’Souza celebrated the festal Holy Mass along with St Mary’s Pre-University College principal Fr Praveen Amrut Martis, Kundapur parish assistant priest Fr Prakash Paul D’Souza here on Wednesday.
 
Fr Anil in his homily said that Apostolic Carmel nuns are serving in Kundapur since the past 125 years.  The graces of Our Lady of Carmel are abundant on the mankind.

 

 

 
Sr Marissa conducted the oath-taking ceremony for laity Carmelites during the Holy Mass.  The laity Carmelites help the nuns to distribute Holy Communion and at the altar. 
 
The blessed scapulars were distributed to all the faithful and also sweets on the occasion.
 
The entire congregation of Apostolic Carmel nuns of convent here were present along with parishioners.
