Mangalore, 13 Jul 2014: The city chapter of Forum for Fast Justice ® was inaugurated in a simple function held at Rohan Corporation auditorium here on Sunday July 13 at 3.30pm.  Forum for Fast Justice is a nationwide movement with a slogan Save Judiciary – Save Nation.

The Forum is in process of setting up about hundred centers in various towns and cities in the name of Society for Fast Justice and continuously goes on organizing workshops, seminars, conclaves and conventions at different cities to promote judicial reforms.  Sixteen such societies are already registered and equal number will be registered soon.

The Forum national president Praveen Patel inaugurated the city chapter of Forum for Fast Justice here on Sunday afternoon.

Speaking on the occasion, Patel narrated the state of Indian judiciary that has worsened owing to meddling by politicians with criminal background.  Besides, he updated on the apathy of police force who discriminate in registering first information report (FIR) on the socio-economic-political background of complainant who are usually poor and hapless.  The nexus between law enforcement agencies and judiciary in shielding small time goons to thrive and someday become influential politicians gradually become lawmakers, said Patel.

Patel appealed to all enlightened citizens including youth to join the movement in reforming both judiciary and law enforcement agencies that would strengthen democracy for better future.

Peoples’ Union for Civil Liberties (PUCL) president P B D’Sa welcomed the gathering.  The Forum for Fast Justice Mangalore chapter secretary advocate Vallabh delivered the introductory address.  The president David proposed vote of thanks.

Forum for Fast Justice ® has the goal to achieve zero backlogs of cases in all courts from the lowest to the Supreme Court (SC) within 2 years.  It will raise moral standard of people in general, reduce economic offences, financial defaults, criminality among people and politicians and save the colossal waste of manpower and material resources.

Speedy justice, a fundamental right under Article 21 of Indian Constitution on life and liberty, will also bring good governance; promote peace, harmony and prosperity among the vast multitude.  The Committee on Judicial Accountability and Reforms at New Delhi is doing a pioneering work in this regard.  Forum for Fast Justice ® is working in close co-ordination with the said Committee.
