Bantwal Unit of ICYM successfully organizes "Yuva Saanz"

Bantwal, 4 Jun 2014 : ICYM Bantwal unit one of the most active ICYM unit of Bantwal warado organized a memorable cultural event ‘Yuva Saanz’ at the Infant Jesus church hall in Modankap.

The programme started with the mass at 4pm celebrated by Rev. Fr. Ronald D’Souza, Director, ICYM-Mangalore diocese. Refreshment was served after the mass for all those who attended the grant event.

Fr. Ronald D’Souza also inaugurated the programme by colouring the board in which ‘Yuva saanz’ was written using candle wax. Rev. Fr. Maxim Norohna, Parish Priest, Bantwal Parish, Mr.Sunil Lewis, Animator, ICYM Bantwal Unit, Mr. Francis Saldanha, Vice president Parish Council, Ms.Priya Carlo, Secretary Parish Council,  Sheldon Crasta, President ICYM - Mangalore diocese and Rev. Fr.Jerald sequira were present on the occassion.

 

 

A new CD ‘Moga Naad’ by Mr. Francis Rodrigues, Ex. President of ICYM Bantwal was released on the occasion. The songs in this CD were written and composed by Francis Rodrigues’s brother Late Raimond Rodrigues in 1984. Music is given by Thushara a well known musician from Dubai, UAE and sung by many famous singers from Mangalore and U.A.E. The same CD was released in Dubai on May 30th . On the occasion of twin dramas “ Chinten, Sabdan ani Karnen” and “Kazarachi Dotorne “ staged at Sh. Rashid stadium in Dubai.

ICYM members performed variety of cultural programme namely Robotic dance, Retro dance, Still dance, Hip hop dance which enthralled the audience.  Also there were Mando songs and skits which entertained the audience. ‘Kalaakul’ Repertory of Mandd Sobhan presented the play ‘badlavonn’

Nearly 600 people witnessed this beautiful magnificent event.  

Earlier Santhosh D’Souza welcomed the audience and all the dignitaries and guests and Anisha Frank proposed the vote of thanks.
