Mogaveers Bahrain to organize Rangoli & Drawing Competition on Jun 6

Manama/Bahrain, 4 Jun 2014: Mogaveers Bahrain will be organizing Rangoli and drawing competitions for expats hailing from Indian state of Karnataka, as part of their decennial celebrations at Karnataka Social Club auditorium, here on Friday June 6 at 10.30am.

 

Rangoli Contest: This traditional decorative design competition is only for Bahrain based Kannadiga ladies and there is neither any age limit for enrolment nor any age category. Rangoli should be in dots and lines based and design copying on the spot is allowed. Free-shaped or freehand arty designs will disqualify. Contestants’ pattern should fit in approximately 3’ X 3’ square floor fox provided. There would not be any theme limitation and necessary props [to draw or to décor] can be used to have added attractions and make Rangoli more beautiful and meaningful. Color powder, petals or any other things can be used and the partakers should arrange for the same. Total duration is 1 hour. There will be top 3 awards and the winners will be honored with trophies and certificates.

 

 

 

Drawing Contest: This creative competition is only for Bahrain based Kannadiga students and it will be held in 3 age-groups (above 5 years to 8 years, above 8 years to 12 years and above 12 years). The themes for contest are Nature, Beach and Marketplace and it is optional for all age groups. Contestants’ art should fit in approximately A3 sized art paper provided by the organizers. Any coloring materials like crayons, pencils, sketch pens, water colors etc can be used and the contestants should arrange for the same. Total duration is 1 hour. There will be top 3 awards for each age category and the winners will be honored with trophies and certificates.

 

 

‘Although these competitions are part of our prescheduled 10 special decennial events, the Rangoli Contest is purely aimed at keeping India’s rich tradition alive and to pass it on to the younger generation living in Bahrain. Meanwhile, the Drawing Competition is being organized to bring students back to rejoicing mood as they are soon going to complete their academic term with scheduled examinations and thereby to encourage them to enhance their inherent,’ said Mogaveers Bahrain president Leeladhar Baikampady.
