DNI Hometheatre win Platinum trophy in Bangalore

Bangalore, 18 Mar 2014: In one of the finest corporate 5 a side football tournaments seen in Bangalore, top teams from the city battled for the coveted ElHANAN Platinum Trophy.  And in the end, the skilful lads from DNI HOMETHEATRE went on to beat a strong  Mu Sigma by two goals to nothing in an exciting final.  In the semi final, DNI had beaten TCS Green while Mu Sigma prevailed over TCS Black in the other semi final.  The winners took the prize money of Rs.15000 while the runners up were given Rs.10000 apart from the trophies and medals for the players.
 
In the Gold Cup category, HCL beat Target to take home the trophy. And in the Silver Cup category Wipro beat Arista Networks to take the trophy.
 
The teams in the tournament played over two days of non stop action in the fast paced 5 a side affair and it was a pleasure to see the silky skills of the young executives especially from the corporate and I.T. world despite soaring temperatures.  The teams were all praise for the organizers and expressed a desire to come back again for another battle in the corporate tournament.  In all, 39 matches were played over 2 days of high class football action.

 

 
Atul Zachariah of TCS (best goalkeeper),   Abin Alex of Musigma (best defender)  and  Dennis of DNI (best forward)  were adjudged for their respectivet performance  in  the tournament  while  Edwin of DNI was chosen as the best player of the tournament.
 
Mr. Josephat Andrews,  Deputy Commissioner of Commercial Taxes,Bangalore was the Chief Guest and gave away the trophies and prize money to the various winners.  Other guests at the presentation  included  Alex Lewis - M.D. DNI Hometheatre,  William Fernandes and Kishore Reddy apart from others.
 
The event was once again organized professionally by veteran Denzil Fernandes with his usual style and high class management which was appreciated by all the teams especially.
