Bahrain: Konkani Kutam Bahrain to organize ’Lancy Moras Nite’

Bahrain, 16 Mar 2014: Konkani Kutam Bahrain in association with Sacred Heart Catholic Church Konkani Community will be staging the Konkani Cultural Extravaganza in support of the new Cathedral building at Awali featuring “Lancy Moras Nite” inclusive of cultural dances and comedy skits at Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium, Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Thursday, 22nd May 2014 from 7.30 pm onwards.

 

 

The evening will be full of entertainment with latest Konkani melodies, sensational & sentimental hits from the new sensation of Konkani music LancyMoras.LancyMoras will be supported by the female lead singer VenessaSaldanha from Dammam, Lancy’s daughter MoushmiMoras and talented local artists. In addition, with “Pokri” Groups witty skits, the audience is sure to have an evening full of entertainment so to remember.Program will be compered by the award winning M.C. Ronald Olivera, Padukone and is expected to be houseful.

 

 

Lancy Moras has successfully presented 5 Konkani Musical Nites altogether, inclusive of two shows in Don Bosco Hall Mangalore, one at St. Agnes Special School grounds Mangalore, one at Riyadh, Saudi Arabia and one at Dammam Saudi Arabia. He also was invited to be a guest Konkani singing artist at Alnasr Poolside in Dubai. LancyMoras has already released two Konkani Albums and a third one is due to be released by December 2014.An upcoming musical nite of LancyMoras in Mangalore in August 2014 is under the tentative plan. Lancy Moras has composed over 100 Konkani songs and over 25 Konkani devotional hymns. From childhood Lancyparticipated in inter parish, school, and college singing competitions and won prizes. His inspiration has been Konkan Kogul late Wilfy Rebimbus and his singing guidance has been Konkan Kalashree Claud D’Souza.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

The entry passes launching ceremony for the program was held in Our Lady of Arabia Auditorium, Sacred Heart Catholic Church on Saturday, 15th March 2014 after the 6.30 pm Konkani mass. In the presence of Konkani Kutam convener Henry D’Almeida, committee member Ronald Fernandes, Sacred Heart Catholic Church Konkani Community coordinators Fredrick D’Souza and Francis Correa on the dais, Rev. Fr. Freddy D’Souza released the entry passes for the program and appealed the parishioners to attend the program and support the worthy cause.

 

The show is a part of Konkani Kutam Bahrain’sobjectives to promote Konkani language, culture, and new talent while supporting a worthy cause.
