Kundapur: Deanery Catholic Stree Songottan Celebrate Women’s Day

Kundapur, 12 Mar 2014: Kundapur deanery level Catholic Stree Songottan celebrated Women’s Day at Our Lady of Rosary parish auditorium, here on Sunday March 9. 
 
The Stree Songottan of Gangolli, Byndoor, Kota, Sastan, Padukone and Pius Nagar parishes presented variety cultural shows on the occasion.
 
‘Tum Nain Sadarnachem,’ Konkani play based on women empowerment by playwright and director Bernard J D’Costa was staged by the Kundapur parish unit of Stree Songottan.
 
The women members of Stree Songottan of Basroor, Trasi, Padukone and Tallur parishes were present during Women’s Day celebrations. 
 
Kundapur deanery Stree Songottan animator Sr Marie Lewis and Sr Triza Martis spoke on issues concering the women empowerment.

 

 

Kundapur deanery vicar Fr Anil in his presidential address said, ‘Let a spark on Women’s Day shine in your life to excel in women empowerment,’ said Fr Anil.  
 
The resource person Eugene Quadros was the resource person educated the women on different aspects.  Jenny D’Sa introduced Eugene.  
   
Kundapur parish Stree Songottan presented the welcome dance.  Vinaya D’Costa welcomed the gathering.  The secretary Shanti Carvalho proposed vote of thanks.  Savita J Vaz and Leena D’Souza compered the programme.
