Abu Dhabi: The 64th Anniversary of India’s Republic Day celebrated at ISC with Patriotism

Abu Dhabi, 27 Jan 2014: The India Social and Cultural Center Abu Dhabi celebrated the64th Anniversary of India’s Republic Day with National Patriotism and loads of cultural events. The celebrations began on 26th morning 7.30 am with a Flag hoisting ceremony by Hon. President of ISC Mr. Joy Thomas John , Mr. P. Sathyababu, Hon. General Secretary, theat ISC Abu Dhabi along with well-known personalities namely Mr. M.U. Vasu, Hon. President, KSC, along with ISC Office Bearers and Former Presidents including Mr. Sarvotham Shetty.
The Cultural Program in the evening began at about 9.00pm and main highlight of the evening program was and honoring DR. Shamsheer , Managing Director LLH Group and recipient of PravasiBhartiyaSamman 2014. His Excellency Ambassador of India Mr. T.P. Seetharam was the chief guest. Hon. General Secretary, Mr. P. Sathyababu welcomed the gathering and the dignitaries and invited them to the dais and felicitated with floral bouquets., Hon. President –ISC Mr. Joy Thomas John addressed the gathering and spoke on importance of Republic Day celebrations and India’s tremendous growth in every sector.
Also on the occasion were present all the association leaders namely: Mr.Shibu Varghese,Hon.Gen.Secretary,Abu Dhabi MalayeeSamajam-, Mr. M.U. Vasu,Hon.President, Kerala Social Centre-, Mr.P. Bava Haji,Hon. President, Indian Islamic Centre.
On the occasion Dr. Shamsheer V.P , Managing Director, LLH Group, Hon. President , Indian ladies Association was honoured for receiving PravasiBharatiyaSamman for 2014 by Ambassador Mr. T.P. Seetharam and Mr. Joy Thomas John and all dignitaries on the dais.
The magical cultural events filled with loads of Patriotic songs and dances presented by members of Indian Ladies Association, Kerala Social Centre, Abu Dhabi Malayalam Samajam, Indian Islamic Centre,St. Joseph’s School, India Social and Cultural Centre, Cultural Wing, Embassy of India.
Vote of thanks was proposed by Mrs.Jonia Mathews, Hon. President Indian Ladies Assoication. The grand cultural event concluded with a National Anthem.
