Mangalore: MUDA proposes to approve Single-housing-plot up to 10 Cents

Mangalore, 9 Jan 2014: Mangalore Urban Development Authority (MUDA) decided to forward a proposal to grant powers to municipal commissioner to approve the plan to build a house in a single-plot up to 10 cents in the limits of Mangalore City Corporation (MCC).
The decision was taken during MUDA meeting held here on Wednesday January 8. It was chaired by Dakshina Kannada (DK) district Deputy Commissioner (DC) and MUDA administration officer A B Ibrahim.
It was proposed to seek approval for building a house in a single-plot up to 10 cents by civic body. It will cover the separate plan to build a house on the floor. The state government is the final authority to approve the proposal, said DC Ibrahim.

DC Ibrahim further said MUDA has prepared a detailed plan to develop old deer park at Kadri by installing musical fountain, laser show and other facilities at a cost of Rs 3.83 crore and it has been forwarded to the state government for approval. It was planned to enhance the beauty of Kadri Park by landscaping etc, added DC Ibrahim.
Speaking on the occasion, MLA J R Lobo advised that its most appropriate to form a society to maintain the Kadri Park, once the infrastructural developments are put in place.
It was also decided to send the proposal of developing housing layout on 72 acre plot that was bought by MUDA in Chelyaru village near Suratkal for the approval of state administration.
MLCs Captain Ganesh Karnik and Monappa Bhandary, MCC commissioner Ajit Kumar Hegde, MUDA commissioner Abdul Nazeer and others were present on the occasion.
