M’lore: MLA J R Lobo felicitates Silver Medalists Cricketers of St Agnes Special School

Mangalore, 18 Dec 2013: St Agnes Special School, Bendore here organized the felicitation programme of silver medalist student cricketers: Danan Saldanha and Moideen Thazman who represented Indian cricket team in the Special Olympics Asia Pacific Regional Games held in Newcastle, Australia, from December 1 to December 7.
The first place was bagged by Bangladesh and the third place bagged by Austrian team.
St Agnes Special School superior Sr Shruthi and Mangalore south MLA J R Lobo felicitated the silver medalist student cricketers on the occasion.
St Agnes Special School Bendore caters to the needs of more than 300 children with special needs. It works towards the all round development of the children. Sports are one of the areas in which St Agnes Special School has made great efforts to bring out the best in the students with special needs. Their students have been the medal winners even in the past in Ireland, Shangai China, Athens Greece, and now in Newcastle Australia.
