Mangalore:‘Bhurgyancho Dabazo – 2013’ in Permannur

Mangalore, 11 Nov 2013:‘Bhurgyancho Dabazo – 2013’ a cultural bonanza on the occasion of Children’s Day celebration was held at St Sebastian Church, Permannur, on Sunday, November 10, 2013.
The celebration started with a special mass for the children followed by lucky games for children and young adults. 800 children participated.

‘Baal Permannur – 2013’, a talent show for the toddlers was held in the afternoon. Then a cultural programme followed in the evening where kids from different wards participated.

 

Mr U. T. Khadar, the honourable minister for Health and Family Welfare was the chief guest. The local leaders of the community were on the dais. All these guests of honour were felicitated by the parish community. Prizes were given to the winners in various completions. Children who made a difference through their talents in the community were also felicitated on the occasion.

Also on this occasion, to mark the Golden birthday of the Parish Priest, Rev. Fr J. B. Saldanha, a Medical Fund was inaugurated to cater for the needy patients. More than 2500 people were present to encourage the children.
