Bellevision Muscat’s annual picnic draws huge response

Muscat, 18 Oct 2013: Bellevsion Muscat organized an annual picnic to a farmhouse at Barka On 16th October,2013. Members as well as their guests attended the picnic. There was a crowd of 130 people including children.  All reached venue at 9.30AM.
The day started with a prayer by Walter Mendonca. President Monthu Martis welcomed the gathering. For breakfast idli Chutney, tea and coffee were served. Registration counter opened immediately thereafter and the gathering was divided into four teams with colors Green, Blue, White and Cream. Each team had to choose their leader and give a catchy name, they were, Belle Guys, Garnol Wado, Blue Berry and Go Green. The Judges were Mr. Alva, Mrs. Lily D’Souza and Mr.Walter Mendonca.

The compeering was done by Edward Mendonca and Melita Alva. The teams were given marks out of ten for every event.  The events were Marian hymn, a Skit and male wearing sari and doing cat walk. Cold drinks were served in between the events. Vinod and Neita Celebrated their 19th wedding anniversary with their kids Ria and Rahul by cutting a deliciously decorated cake. All sang congratulatory song and wished them good luck.

 

Soon after, compeer announced break of two and half hours for going to the swimming pool and having snacks, sausages, cake and hot drinks. At 2.30PM, grace before meals were said by Peter and lunch was served. Gracy and family had cooked a sumptuous meal of rice, chana, Kuvalo bafat curry, pickle and chicken sukka.  The sweet dish was prepared by Celine Lobo.
After lunch Red Label whisky was auctioned. Thereafter spot prizes and a children game followed by housie game were conducted.  Prizes were distributed to the winners and goody bags were given to the children sponsored by IBN Sina Pharmacy. Picnic ended with Baila dance and group photographs.
